Colorado ISD School Playground
Colorado Independent School District (ISD) in Colorado City, Texas includes four schools and educates children from kindergarten through 12th grade. The campus of the Colorado ISD elementary school includes two playgrounds. One playground is suited for children ages 2-5 years old, and the other is designed for children ages 5-12 years old.
This school playground was designed to have a space theme. One playground is designed to emulate a moon rover and the other has a space rocket theme. The moon rover playground is age-appropriate for children 2-5 years old with activities that aid specifically in the development of toddlers.
School-age children from 5-12 years old enjoy the fun activities of the space rocket playground! It is packed with age-appropriate playground activities perfect for children ages 5-12 years old. Students enjoy the multiple slides, climbers, tunnels, spinners, and activity panels.
To keep the fun going, there is a separate area with swing frames with shade.
For protection, Colorado ISD chose synthetic grass surfacing. The surfacing is long-lasting and offers a low-lifetime cost to the school system.
To match the branding of the school system, Colorado ISD chose a color palette of gray, red, and blue. Children of the Colorado Independent School District now have a safe and fun playground environment to play on for years to come!
Both play areas meet all ADA accessibility guidelines.
