I have been in or around the playground industry most of my life starting at age 6 when my father started building back yard playgrounds. Playgrounds have not always been the focus for my family. They started out as a way to supplement my families income when my fathers feed store wasn’t doing so hot. It turns out that owning a feed store in the desert isn’t the most lucrative venture. As I got older I developed an enormous passion for business. Around the time that I started college my father Frank Bartlett had an opportunity to represent a commercial playground manufacturer in the West Texas territory. He proceeded to build a few playgrounds here and there for the local Home Owners Associations and a few churches around town.
In 2009 we decided to give our full attention to designing and building commercial playgrounds. I designed and sold playgrounds while my father managed the construction side of things and my mother Kay would prepare proposals and keep the books. We are still a small business but over the past 10 years we have grown from 3 employees to 15. We have design consultants located across the state of Texas along with teams of installers to help us manage the construction process in each of these areas. We have even had the pleasure of designing and building custom play areas in places that we never dreamed. We’ve built playgrounds in downtown Chicago, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Arkansas. We have grown to love this industry and we have a passion for building one of a kind play environments.
